Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 18, 2026
laklak.live allows people viewing the same webpage to chat and collaborate in real time. This policy explains what information is collected by the laklak.live browser extension and backend services, how it is used, and your choices.
Information We Collect
- Authentication data: When you sign in, we store your access token and refresh token in Chrome storage on your device so you remain signed in across pages.
- Room context: The current page URL and domain are used to determine which chat room a user joins.
- Messages: Messages you send are stored so that other participants can view the conversation history.
How We Use Information
- Authenticate your session and allow you to stay logged in.
- Connect you with the correct chat room for the page you are viewing.
- Deliver and display messages to participants in the same room.
We do not sell user data, use it for advertising, or track users for unrelated purposes.
Chrome Extension Permissions
Storage
Needed to keep authentication tokens locally so that you stay logged in and can re-connect to rooms without re-entering your credentials.
All URLs Host Permissions
The extension injects a content script on the pages you visit to render the chat UI and determine the current domain. The broad host pattern is required so chat can work on any site you choose to enable the extension on.
Remote Code
The extension ships all logic inside the package. It does not execute remote JavaScript bundles fetched at runtime.
Your Choices
- You can remove stored tokens at any time by logging out or uninstalling the extension.
- You can request deletion of chat messages by contacting us.
